WHY CHOOSE OUR RETREAT:

Ayahuasca, also known as Yagé in Colombia, is an ancient medicinal plant that grows exclusively in the Amazon rainforest. Revered by many indigenous communities as the Mother or the Grandmother, it is one of the many sacred “planta maestras” or “teacher plants” found in the region. Ayahuasca is recognized and respected internationally by both scientific and spiritual communities for its remarkable ability to promote physical and spiritual healing.

The Ayahuasca experience involves a physical cleanse in which the plant removes toxins and traumas from the body. Participants may experience purging through vomiting or defecation. Spiritually, the plant can induce Pinta, which are visions, noises, messages, or emotions experienced during the ceremony.

Our Ayahuasca ceremonies are guided by an expert female Curandera and are held in a calm and tranquil environment. They provide a safe and supportive space for emotional release, receiving answers to questions, and setting intentions. In indigenous communities, such as the Kofan, Ayahuasca is taken every eight days and is even given to children and pregnant women with proper consultation beforehand.

These ceremonies are considered sacred spaces that have long been a part of ancestral traditions and provide opportunities for self-reflection and gaining insight and perspective. The world of ancestral medicines is still thriving in Colombia, where there is a vast variety of medicinal plants growing naturally. Members of indigenous communities have a close connection to nature and rely on these plants, making it rare for them to require pharmaceutical products.
